The short version
Some of the links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we receive a commission from the seller. You pay exactly the same price you would have paid going direct. The commission comes out of the seller’s margin, not your pocket.
Who we have affiliate relationships with
Most of the paid products recommended on this site are sold through ClickBank, an online retailer that handles payment and delivery for digital products from many independent sellers. When you click through to a product page and buy, ClickBank records that the referral came from this site and pays a percentage of the sale.
ClickBank is the retailer of record for those purchases. Billing, delivery, customer support and refunds are handled by ClickBank and the product seller — not by us.
How links are marked
Affiliate links appear inside clearly labelled recommendation boxes that say “affiliate link” at the top. They carry rel="nofollow sponsored" in the page code and open in a new tab. There is a notice at the top of every page on the site. We don’t hide these links in ordinary body text and we don’t disguise them as editorial recommendations.
How a product gets recommended
The honest risk with affiliate income is obvious: it rewards recommending whatever pays the most, whether or not it helps you. These are the rules we hold ourselves to.
- Every recommendation box states who the product is not suitable for, in the same box as the pitch.
- The free advice in an article is never withheld to make the paid product look necessary.
- A product that doesn’t fit an article doesn’t go in that article, regardless of what it pays.
- Where we think nothing on the market is worth the money for a given problem, we recommend nothing.
What we don’t promise
We have no control over the products sold by third parties, their contents, their claims, or their pricing. A recommendation here means we think a product may suit a particular reader in a particular situation. It is not a guarantee of results, and results in this area vary enormously between people.
Before buying anything, read the seller’s own page carefully, check the refund terms, and be sceptical of any claim about how fast something will work.
Health and supplement products
Where this site links to a supplement or health product, the following applies without exception: nothing on this site is medical advice, no product mentioned here is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and you should speak to your doctor before starting any supplement — particularly if you take prescription medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or manage an ongoing health condition.
Regulatory basis
This disclosure is made in line with the United States Federal Trade Commission’s Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255), and with Australian Consumer Law as administered by the ACCC, which requires that commercial relationships behind a recommendation be disclosed clearly and prominently.
